Homework: Vocab sheet with pictures

Happy very chilly Monday!  Class started today with a guessing game of what our new unit (which we started today) was going to be about.  Drum roll......MESOPOTAMIA!  After discovering this, students created a KWL chart in their notebooks.  A KWL chart is a three column chart.  The K column is where students write everything that they already know about the topic.  In the W column, they write what they want to know, and in the L column they write what they have learned.

Sooooo, we discovered that we don't know much about Mesopotamia!  We spent some time looking at a few of the big classroom maps to figure out where in the world Mesopotamia was and what was surrounding it.  We'll discuss this further tomorrow.

Homework tonight is to complete a vocab sheet for section 1.  Here is a list of the vocab words.
