We then looked at the location section specifically and discussed Cardinal directions: North, South, East, and West, intermediate directions: NW, NE, SW, SE, and latitude and longitude.
Latitude: The distance north or south of the equator measured in degrees, can be remembered by thinking of the lines as rungs on a ladder. I haven't come up with a good one for longitude yet (the distance east or west of the prime meridian, measured in degrees), so if you think of anything let me know!
We talked about who today might use these types of directions the most (pilots, the army, marines, air force, captains of a boat, etc)
Tomorrow we will finish talking about the different hemispheres and will practice finding different points latitude and longitude on a grid.
